The Weirdo on Maple Street is the second episode of Stranger Things. You can see how Dustin, Mike and Lucas try to find more information about the mysterious kid found by the woods.

The action begins with Mike trying to hide this kid in his house's basement. He suspects that there is a connection between her and Will's disappearance. Next day, Michael finally makes contact with the kid and discovers her name: Eleven. The plan is to let Mike's parents now she is missing and in need of help. However, Eleven doesn't feel comfortable with this option as she is trying to stay away from bad people.

Meanwhile, Joyce meets Hopper, the police officer, and speaks with him about her son's absence. She also describes the weird telephone explosion and tries to find some help at her workplace.

First interesting fact: the Byers brothers listen to one the 80's classics by the rock band The Clash: "Should I Stay or Should I Go". We can also mention how Eleven communicates with the other kids by using Dungeons & Dragons language. Finally, the scene with Joyce (Winona Ryder) and the mysterious thing behind the wall looks pretty much alike a scene from "A Nightmare on Elm Street". directed by Wes Craven.
