A woman accused of sexually assaulting four children was arrested after authorities say she was the one who placed the videos online.
According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, the first video was posted on June 6 and was posted by a woman known to police.
The second video was uploaded on June 12 and was from the home of a woman who had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.
The third video was from a woman named “Liz,” who police said was the woman who placed videos online with the intent of selling them.
The fourth video, from a different home, was posted the same day, according the sheriff.
In total, six videos were posted online, with each one showing a different sexual act involving the children, according Humbolds County Sheriff Paul Brown.
In all, nine children, ages 6 to 10, were sexually assaulted in the video, according Brown.
In the first five videos, the youngest victim was 14 years old.
All of the videos were recorded in two locations, one in the house of a person who is not suspected of involvement in the crimes and one in a different location, Brown said.
Liz was arrested and charged with felony criminal sexual conduct with a child, child endangerment, felony possession of a weapon, criminal sexual penetration, child abuse, child exploitation, and criminal dissemination of child pornography, according his office.
She was being held in the county jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
